6 companies in the Oil and Gas sector join hands with AICTE, 1 lakh internship openings for students!

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has tied up with 6 companies in the oil and gas sector to offer online internships to students and faculties wishing to join the oil and gas industry. The 6 participating companies that are opening 1 lakh internship openings are Dasoff Petroleum, Abu Dhabi, Citax Energy, Dubai, Petroleumsoft, UK, Wesmarty Infotech, Energivo Oil and Gas, and Shay Innovative Solutions.

Students and faculties will be provided live projects and industrial experience related to the downstream oil and gas industry, which include oil refineries design, crude oil processing, and transpiration during the course of the internship.

Some key learning from the internship will be:

1. Refinery Construction & Design, Oilfield Digitalization – AI, DA & ML, Exploration, Drilling & Core Analysis, Mechanical Engineering Design, Reservoir Engineering & EOR, Instrumentation Engineering
2. Civil Engineering – Structural Design, Data scientists & Reservoir Engineers, Oil Refineries Design Engineers, Drilling & Production Engineers, Mechanical and Civil Engineers

The internship will start immediately and the duration will be 2 months with no stipend. The candidates will get a certificate on completion of the internship session.

Who can apply for the AICTE internship in oil and gas sector?

Candidates satisfying the following criteria will be eligible to apply:

1. 2nd or 3rd year engineering students who are willing to learn and explore information security stream
2. Students who are available for a duration of 2 months
3. Students who have the relevant skills and interests

There are 1 lakh openings for this internship in the oil and gas sector. Interested students can apply through this link. The last date to apply is 1st April 2021.

The internship program was launched in the presence of AICTE Chairman Prof Anil Sahasrabudhe, Vice-Chairman Prof MP Poonia, Member Secretary Prof Rajive Kumar, Chief Coordinating Officer Chandrasekhar Buddha, Dasoffshore CEO Bhagwan Gawai, Petroleumsoft CEO Rameshwar M Paswan, Shay Innovative Solutions CEO, Dr. Rahul Hingole, and Energivo Oil and Gas CEO, N. Rajesh Kumar.

Prof Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of the AICTE said, “The internship program offered by AICTE will empower and fine-tune the skills of job aspirants in the country. Through this collaborative program, AICTE will offer internship opportunities to more than 1,00,000 students and make them ready to join the national and international oil and gas industry.”.

AICTE Vice Chairman, Prof MP Poonia said, "The oil and gas industry is a dynamic industry and there are numerous opportunities for engineering students in this sector. This program will prepare students to grab job opportunities by gaining knowledge and experience sharing in the internship program."
