The applicants for the 2020 MBA Admissions at IIT KGP’s Vinod Gupta School of Management can stop holding their breath as the results have been announced! The VGSoM IIT Kharagpur MBA admission result has been anticipated for a while by all the candidates. A prestigious institution that was set up in 1993, at a time when India had just opened up its economy for liberalization. It was the first school of management within the IIT system. The aim was to train managers who had a strong technical background.

The current scenario has shut all doors of every educational institute of the country. The beginning of the new session has been put on hold and, because of its timings, things have taken turn for the worse.

Most institutions were halfway through their admission processes. In institutes with two or three-step procedures, shortlisted students were left hanging with no idea about the next step. Unprecedented times left the institutes and the applicants confused. Now that we are in the third month of the lockdown, things are finally getting back into the groove.

The admission for MBA at VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur is a two-step procedure. First, the successful applicants to the program are shortlisted for Written Aptitude Test and Personal Interview (WAT-PI). In the second phase, on the basis of a cumulative performance score, the candidates who have been selected through the WAT-PI process are offered final admission to  MBA.
