Average CTC exceeds 20 LPA at IIM Kozhikode final placement 2021

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode, wrapped up its final placement for the batch of 2021 with a 100% placement record. 137 recruiters participated in the drive, with over 50 fresh recruiters. IIM Kozhikode final placement report revealed that the average annual package offered was over 20 lakhs. The top 50% of students in the whole lot had an average annual salary package of 28 lakhs. The placement drive was conducted virtually and saw an 8.1% increase in the average annual package this year as compared to the last year.

Sector-wise breakdown of  IIM Kozhikode final placement 2021

Consulting firms were sought after in the drive. Of the total offers, 32.7% were made by the consulting domain. IIM Kozhikode final placement report also revealed that this indicated a 12.5% increase in the offers by consulting firms as compared to the last year. The firms that hired candidates for such profiles were Accenture Strategy, Bain & Co., BCG, Blue Yonder, Infosys Consulting, EY, Optum, PwC, Deloitte, IQVIA Consulting, etc.

The profiles in the financial sector accounted for 21.5% of the total offers. Most of these recruiters were from Yes Bank, IDFC First Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of America, Citi Bank, Deutsche Bank, BlackRock, etc.

According to IIM Kozhikode final placement report, 15.25% of the total offers were from sales and marketing profiles. IT and analytics profiles were also a highlight. The former was offered by Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Casio India, Everest Industries, HUL, Nestle, Paytm, Reckitt Benckiser, Xiaomi, Samsung, etc. The latter profiles were offered by American Express, Google, Walmart Labs, Mphasis, Microsoft, Enphase Energy, etc. 

IIM Kozhikode final placement 2021 showed that over 13% of the total offers were made for general management and operations roles. The prominent recruiters offering these profiles were BlackBuck, Capgemini, JSW, Mahindra, Ninjacart, Reliance, Rebel Foods, and TAS.

Over 50 new recruiters join the drive

IIM Kozhikode final placement highlighted the entry of over 50 new recruiters for the batch of 2021. This included big names such as Bajaj Finserv, BlackRock, Equirus Capital, Franklin Templeton, GoIndigo, L’Oreal, Paytm, Michael Page, and Marsh India. Offers were also made by startups and other e-commerce firms including Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and Udaan.
