Age Relaxation

The upper age limit is 28 years as of August 10, 2025, for General / Un-reserved / EWS candidates. Age relaxation is provided as per Government of India guidelines for reserved categories: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (NCL), applicable to vacancies reserved for these categories.

BDL Selection Process 2025

The selection process for BDL trainee positions is designed to identify top talent through a comprehensive assessment.

The process involves:

Initial Screening: Applications will be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria.
Written Test (Computer-Based Online Test - CBoT): Shortlisted candidates will undergo an online written test.
Interview: Candidates who qualify for the written test will proceed to an interview.

Written Test Details (CBoT)

Duration: 2 hours
Total Questions: 120

100 questions: From your specific Subject / Discipline.
20 questions: Covering General Aptitude (Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General English).

Weightage: The written test carries 85% of the total selection weightage.
Qualifying Marks:

50% for all candidates.
40% for OBC (NCL), SC, ST, and PwBD candidates, where vacancies are reserved for their respective categories.

Interview and Final Selection

Candidates who clear the written test will be called for an interview in a ratio of 1:7 (post:candidate), or a maximum of 1:10, based on merit within each category. BDL Management will determine the final ratio.
