In a time when many companies are struggling to provide full-time positions, Branch stands out in stark contrast to the current trends in the employment market. The leading personal finance app company is looking for interns and is offering a stipend of Rs 50,000 per month.

Branch is looking to hire interns for the position of Android Development, Backend and Machine Learning. The remote internship will last for a duration of 4 to 6 months.

But why is Branch offering such an enticing internship?

According to the Branch’s Chief Technology Officer, “Four years of engineering is a good time for one to do something impactful and the company is looking for candidates who are driven and have demonstrated that by working on impactful products and projects, wherever they are.”

He added, We are looking for curious engineers who acquired skills and used it to impact 100s-1000s of lives already, and are now looking for a platform to have a larger impact.”

The vision of Branch’s CTO has by far witnessed success as the company has received more than 3000 applications for the position of interns.

The fintech company which is known for its vision, proactive and talented employees and thriving culture believes in adequately compensating its employees. In line with that culture, the interns are also being handsomely rewarded during the 4 to 6 months long internship.

Commenting on that the CTO said, “We want to deviate from the unpopular practice of unpaid internships rolled out by other companies. It is also a part of its long-term strategy of the company which promotes the retention of employees ”.

What’s in it for the Interns?

The company intends to hire fresh graduates of 2022 which implies students who really want to make a good impact and want to start their career with a bang stand to grab an amazing opportunity.

They will get ample opportunities to work on a real-world problem and in turn brainstorm, design, code, debug, and ship features that serve millions of customers.

The company is willing to convert the internship into full-time roles based on the performance of the interns. So, interns get ample time to evaluate Branch as their long-term career option.

So, why work at Branch?

Compensation and Perks are only one part of the job if anyone wants to stay in an organization for long. But to really thrive and in a workplace environment, one needs to have a constant opportunity to grow and the ownership of the work.

The fintech startup of 2015, provides a truly dynamic environment and offers all its employees both these opportunities. With a 360ᵒ review system in place, it becomes a place where they are jostled over by the managers but work in cohesion to the company’s vision and mission.
