Cluster 1 of IIM Ahmedabad final placement 2021 witness BCG & McKinsey as key recruiters

Like previous placement seasons, this year also different firms from diverse sectors made job offers to the students of the PGP class of 2021 at cluster 1 of IIM Ahmedabad final placement. Many consulting firms offered management consulting roles across geographies including West Asia & Middle East in large numbers. Boston Consulting Group (BCG) made the highest number of job offers followed by McKinsey. The two companies made 32 and 30 job offers respectively making them the key recruiters in Cluster 1. The entire placement process is being conducted in the virtual mode this year keeping into consideration the coronavirus pandemic situation. The second cluster of the final placements will begin on 5 March 2021.

IIM Ahmedabad final placement 2020 highlights

In 2020, 153 firms participated with 182 different roles in the final placement process of IIM Ahmedabad. Firms that made the most offers on-campus included Mckinsey, Boston Consulting Group, and Tata Consultancy Services. McKinsey made the highest number of offers (including Pre-Placement Offers) at the end of the final placement process (27), followed by Boston Consulting Group with 23 offers. In the Niche Consulting cohort, Mastercard extended 11 offers. Among the investment banks, Avendus was the largest recruiter, making 10 offers, closely followed by JP Morgan with 8 offers. In 2020, the Private Equity, Venture Capital and Asset Management domain recorded an 80% increase in participating firms as compared to 2019 including Matrix Partners and SAW Partners.
