Confidence can help you succeed | Kunaal Saraogi’s placement journey to PwC
PwC or PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of the top professional services network brands, came as a recruiter in our college. I was eager to apply for PwC after having heard all the good things about the company in my MBA years. The profile that they were offering was of an associate, and also of my choice. I prepared myself to land a job that I had always wanted. I focused on my communication skills and my theoretical approach to the topics. I also ensured that my resume had everything relevant and that I possessed clarity about all the points mentioned. With preparation and confidence, I began my placement journey to PwC.
The stepping stones
My placement journey to PwC began with an online test as the first round. The difficulty level of the test was moderate. The questions that were asked required good practice before you attempted the test. I had prepared well, and thus, was easily able to clear the test round.
The next stop was a personal interview. I, like so many others, felt weak in the knees before the D-day. Nevertheless, on the day of the interview, I was confident about myself and took on the questions with a positive mindset. I covered all the aspects of the questions asked in my answers and felt satisfied with the interview. Overall, I enjoyed the interview a lot. Still doubtful about the results, I made up my mind that whatever happens, I’ll take something to learn from it. The interview ultimately was a very nice experience and still is the milestone in my placement journey to PwC.
The hope for a learning experience
PwC apart from being one of the top 4 audit firms and top services network brands, also gives an opportunity that those looking for a job want to lay their hands on. The company is already investing a lot in the technology sector and is bound to innovate and create, giving the best kind of exposure possible to its employees.
The placement journey to PwC for me was a sneak-peek into these amazing qualities of the company. The mere fact that the panellists in the interview were experienced and had worked in the industry for up to 28 years was enough proof of their able leadership. Not only that, the qualities that they wanted from the candidate that they stressed the most in the interviews were confidence, leadership skills and values. I was really happy to see such a big name give so much importance to the little details and these qualities. I am looking forward to learning with PwC in the years to come and I’m sure it will be nothing less than a wonderful journey.
