Apprenticeship is a proven model for developing a skilled workforce. In an endeavor to upskill the young minds of the country, the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), a DRDO laboratory, is inviting applications from Engineering and Non-Engineering candidates to work as Graduate Apprentice Trainees at Bengaluru.

GTRE’s primary function is the research and development of aero-gas turbines for military aircraft. It has been accredited with the design and development of India's ‘first centrifugal type 10 kN thrust engine’ between 1959 and 1961. GTRE has been developing marine gas turbines also.

DRDO GTRE Apprenticeship 2023: Stipend & Tenure

The stipend for the graduate apprentice would be INR 9000 P.M. and the tenure of the apprenticeship is 1 year.

Note: Candidates with higher qualifications or more than one year of work experience are not eligible to apply. Also, those who have already undergone apprenticeship training or are at present undergoing one under any organization are not eligible to apply.

Depending upon the vacancies available in various disciplines, the selection of candidates will be carried out by shortlisting obased onAcademic Merit/Written Test/Interview as required. Details of shortlisted candidates will be published on the DRDO website. For more information, you may refer to the official notification.
