The National Informatics Centre (NIC) is a department under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. Established in 1976, NIC is responsible for all things eGovernment/ eGovernance applications from providing IT infrastructure, to IT consultancy, to designing, developing, and implementing IT systems, etc. The department has been pioneering the initiatives of Digital India and is the primary technology partner for the GOI.

The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) under the NIC Recruitment 2023 notice is inviting applications for 598 Engineer and Scientist posts/ job openings for all engineering graduates with no requirement of prior experience. Overview Of NIC Recruitment 2023

The department is looking to fill 598 posts for Scientific & Technical posts in the National Informatics Centre (NIC) with eligible and qualified candidates. The details of the number of vacancies and reservations are given below:

NIC Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the NIC recruitment 2023 are as given in the table below:

Citizenship	A citizen of India, or A subject of Nepal, or A subject of Bhutan, or A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Educational Qualifications	B.E./ B.Tech./ M.E./ M.Tech./ MCA/ M.Phil./ in Electronics, EC, CS, CA, SS, IT, ITM, CM, EI, Cyber Law, Informatics, Computer & Network Security, relevant field.	M.Sc. /MS/MCA/B.E./B.Tech in any one or in a combination of Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics & Telecommunications, Computer Sciences, Computer and Networking Security, Software Systems, Information Technology, and Informatics.
Minimum Age Limit	18 years as of the date of the application closing
Upper Age Limit	30 years (UR/EWS), 35 years (SC/ST), 33 years (OBC, Non-creamy layer), 40 years (PwD), Ex-servicemen as per govt rules.
Experience	No work experience required

NIC Recruitment 2023: Salary Details

The pay grades/ brackets for different posts are as given in the table:

Application Process For NIC Recruitment 2023

Visit the official portal for the notification i.e. https://www.calicut.nielit.in/nic23/
Read through the pdf carefully to ensure all requirements are met.
Click on the ‘Register to apply’ link on the webpage.
Register with the portal and fill out the application form carefully.
A candidate can apply for a single post only.
Pay the online application fee after uploading all the documents.
Submit the application and save a copy for future reference.

The application fee is INR 800 for UR/EWS/OBC categories and none for SC/ ST/ PwD/ Female.

NIC Recruitment 2023: Selection Process

The candidates who apply for the NIC Recruitment 2023 will have to undergo the following:

Online written exam- Will consist of 120 MCQs with f 65% questions from the technical section and 35% questions from the generic section. The total duration will be 3 hours and the medium will be English only.
Personal interview (For Scientist B, Scientific Officer, Scientific Engineer Posts) with exam to interview weightage being 85:15.
For the Scientific/Technical Assistant-A profile selection will be made on the basis of merit in the written exam.
