GAIL Recruitment 2023: Important Details

There are 47 positions available for Executive Trainees. The minimum essential qualifications are as follows:

Other terms and conditions 

• Engineering Degree can be B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. Engg.
• Only full-time Regular courses will be considered.
• Candidates having 05 years of B.E / B. Tech. + M.E / M. Tech. integrated dual degree in engineering in a relevant discipline shall also be considered.
• The upper age limit is 26 years as of 15.03.2023 for the posts of Executive Trainee in all disciplines.
• Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of INR 60,000 – 1,80,000 at the Basic Pay of INR 60,000  during one year of training cum probation as Executive Trainee in E-2 grade. On successful completion of their training cum probation period, they will be absorbed in the same pay scale.
• As per the official notification, the candidates may be posted at any of the installations/ projects/ offices, etc. of GAIL (India) Limited or any of the subsidiaries/ Joint Ventures of GAIL (India) Limited or deputed to any Department of Government of India/ other PSUs, etc.

How to Apply? 

To select the candidates, GAIL will take into consideration the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) - 2023 marks for the recruitment of Executive Trainees. Based on the GATE-2023 marks and requirements, candidates will be shortlisted for the further selection process. GATE marks of 2022 or prior to that are not valid.

1. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Engineering in the year 2021. Am I eligible to apply for the post of Executive Trainee? 

Candidates who have completed their Bachelor's degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline/ branch in the year 2021 or earlier are not eligible to apply for the post of Executive Trainee.

2. Can I apply for the post of Executive Trainee in any Engineering Discipline?

Candidates having an engineering degree in a branch other than the branch/ discipline specified in the detailed advertisement are not eligible to apply for the post of Executive Trainee in an engineering discipline.

3. Does one have to pay a separate application fee for applying against the advertised posts of Executive Trainee in GAIL?

No. There is no separate application fee for applying against the advertised posts of Executive Trainee in GAIL. However, candidates need to pay the requisite application fees for appearing in GATE 2023 as specified by the GATE official website.
