DRDO (LRDE) Recruitment 2023: Applications Open For Jr Research Fellowship For Engineers

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is inviting applications for junior research fellows for its Electronics and Radar Development Establishment (LRDE). The post is open for graduates and post-graduates from the electrical, electronics & communication engineering disciplines.

Headquartered in Delhi, DRDO is the premier agency under India’s Defence Ministry. Charged with military research and development, DRDO has several laboratories and establishments under it. One of these is LRDE. LRDE’s primary work is in radars, communications systems, and related technologies.

DRDO (LRDE) Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

As per the DRDO (LRDE) Recruitment 2023 notification, the junior research fellowship is inviting applications from both graduates and postgraduates. For both positions, here’s the detailed eligibility criteria: 

• Educational Qualification: Graduate in B.E./B.Tech in the first division in respective subject with GATE Or Post graduate degree in M.E. /M. Tech in first division both at Graduate and Post graduate level in the respective subject
• Candidates need to mention qualifying marks in percentage. Candidates who received a CGPA score are requested to convert the CGPA into percentage as per university norms and upload the supporting document. 

• Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on June 30, 2023
• A relaxation in the upper age limit for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and OBC candidates will be as per Government of India rules. 

DRDO (LRDE) Recruitment 2023: Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a written test and/or interview. Candidates who’re shortlisted for the test or interview will be intimated via email. 

The test and interview will be conducted at LRDE / TTC, Bengaluru. The tentative date for the test is the third week of July 2023. 

Candidates currently employed in Government Departments, Autonomous Bodies, or PSUs have to produce NOC (no objection certificate) at the time of the test/interview. 

DRDO (LRDE) Recruitment 2023: Salary & Tenure

Interested candidates can apply online through the website. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of INR 31,000, along with admissible HRA (house rental allowance).

The fellowship is initially open for a period of two years. It may be extended for a maximum period of four years.
