After postponing a number of entrance exams in 2020 due to the pandemic, the Ministry of Human Affairs (MHA) finally agreed to the proposal of the Ministry of Education (MoE) for conducting the various entrance exams in the month of September, 2020. Hence, the revised entrance dates for various exams like UGC-NET, Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET), IGNOU OPENMAT and Ph.D., and ICAR AIEEA exams were announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Accordingly, the modifications have been made and the dates for various entrance examinations have been announced in consultation with the stakeholders.
- The DUET 2020 shall be conducted from 6th September 2020 to 11th September, 2020.
- The UGC-NET (National Eligibility Test) examination that was supposed to be conducted in June, 2020 has been postponed. According to the revised schedule, it will be conducted from 16th September to 25th September, 2020.
- Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) OPENMAT (MBA) entrance examination will be held on 15th September, 2020
- IGNOU Ph.D. entrance exam will be conducted on October 4th, 2020
- The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) AIEEA - Bachelor Degree Program (UG) will be conducted on 7th and 8th of September, 2020. However, the dates for its Master Degree Programs (PG) and Doctoral Degree Programs & Award of JRF/SRS (Ph.D.) exams have not been revealed yet.
- The All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) which was earlier scheduled to be held on 29th August 2020 has been postponed and the new date for the same is 29th September, 2020.
The different entrance exams are scheduled to be conducted on the given dates, for which the candidates shall receive the admit cards about 15 days before the commencement of the examinations. Candidates are required to download the admit cards from the respective official websites of these examinations. The admit cards shall contain significant details regarding their roll number, centre, date, shift and timing of their examinations. It is also advised that the candidates keep visiting the respective examination website(s) and the official website of NTA (www.nta.ac.in) for further details.
