Team Amigos SPJIMR Mumbai shine as the second runners up of Capgemini L'Innovateur 2.0
I think we were able to leverage the unique strengths of our teammates well. We brainstormed together for hours while preparing the initial proposal and then formulated our idea. We spent quite some time in brainstorming during Diwali before the first submission of the Executive summary. Then we worked for a couple of weeks for the subsequent processes as well. This is what helped us reach the finals of Capgemini L'Innovateur 2.0.
What winning really feels like!
A total of 10 teams made it to the grand finale. For us, we would consider the Team from IIM Ahmedabad as our toughest competitors. Although one of their team members could not be present for the finale, the other two members presented their solution really well. Their presentation was structured skillfully the way they answered questions during the Question and Answer round was fantastic. As a result, they grabbed the Runners Up title which was very well deserved.
After listening to all the teams present their ideas during the finale, we did not expect to land up in the top 3. The competition was fierce. We remember the final moment quite vividly; when it was announced that our team was the Second Runner Up of Capgemini L'Innovateur 2.0. It was a feeling of accomplishment; all our efforts had finally paid off. That feeling will always be special for us and we will cherish that moment forever.
The well-structured competition
The competition was very well organized and structured. The judgement panel was very experienced and had senior leadership from Capgemini. They asked difficult questions which we think pushed all the participants to think in-depth. One of our biggest learning was that it always pays off to support your solution with some financial analysis and back up recommendations with relevant data. Overall, the experience of the entire competition was amazing.
