Glory of Winning HeadstaRt 2018 by Aditya Birla Group

HeadstaRt is one of the best competing platforms in the country and I wanted to win it. With this motivation, I registered along with my other team members for this competition.

HeadstaRt 2018 had two rounds. After successfully completing the business simulation, which brought new insights to me. Thereafter, the case presented to us was interesting and challenging at the same time.

We had to prepare on a lot of aspects. We did extensive qualitative research, talked to people in the industry, talked to our teachers and took all point of views into account. We tried to keep ourselves in the shoes of the employees of all generations. We also talked to our parents to understand their perspective. And talking with all these people got us to a common solution. Respect is what everyone desires.

During our final phase, we worked for around 4 days. I was a part of Team Theseus and we were working together for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. All of us had complementary skills which came in handy for collaboration.

Differences of opinion are part and parcel of every team formation. The conflicts which arose between us were duly discussed and alternate points of view considered. And in many instances, they were resolved very quickly as alternate views made more sense.

We as a team worked upon deciding the aesthetics of the presentation slides, preparing the content of delivery and execution of the tasks in the given time. We were able to handle these well and team rehearsals played an important part in our success.

We tried to give our best and was one of the 8 teams who made it to the finale. All teams had some unique selling points and it would be very subjective to say as to who was our toughest competitor.
