Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is inviting applications from young professionals and freshers to apply for multiple different positions. As per the Hindustan Petroleum Recruitment of Officers 2023-24 notice, there are 200+ vacancies for engineers, Chartered Accountants, Lawyers and MBBS students.  

Established in 1974, HPCL is a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE). With a 19.2% market share in India, it has a strong presence in Refining and Marketing petroleum products. It also has the country’s second-largest petroleum product pipeline network. 

As per its latest recruitment notice, HPCL is inviting applications for 21 different positions, as well as recruiting personnel for fixed-term contracts. Several of these positions are open for freshers with 0-1 years of experience.

The pay scale for all the aforementioned positions is - INR 50,000-1,60,000. 

HP Recruitment of Officers: Selection Process

As per the Hindustan Petroleum Recruitment of Officers 2023-24 Notice, the selection process would comprise various shortlisting and selection tools, depending on the position. Broadly, the stages of the selection process are - Computer Based Test - Group Task & Personal Interview. Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the applicable selection process stages. 

For Law officers, the selection process will also include a Moot court. 

Here are further details of each stage of the selection process: 

Eligible candidates will be invited for a CBT. CBT will comprise two parts:

  • General Aptitude Test - on English Language, Quantitative Aptitude Test & Intellectual Potential test (Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation).
  • Technical / Professional Knowledge - Qualifying degree. 

Candidates will be shortlisted on category-wise & discipline-wise merit lists in Computer Based Test. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Tasks and/or Personal Interviews.

Note: Selected officers will serve a 1-year probation from the Date of Joining. After the probation period is successfully completed, the officer will be considered for confirmation as per company policy.
