Wipro is the main worldwide data innovation, counselling and business procedure administrations organization. They tackle the intensity of subjective registering, hyper-computerization, apply autonomy, cloud, investigation and rising innovations to enable their customers to adjust to the advanced world and make them fruitful. It is an organization perceived all around for its thorough arrangement of administrations, solid pledge to maintainability and great corporate citizenship. Data analysis has always been my strength and I wanted to develop my skills for the same. When an opportunity from a reputed organization such as Wipro presented itself, it was really easy for me to choose to do my summer Internship at Wipro.
The selection process for a summer Internship at Wipro comprises of the following rounds:
The first stage was the Group Discussion. It was quite unique in comparison to other Group Discussions and had 3 parts. The first part was the normal Group Discussion round, the second one was a rapid-fire round. The third part was about our value added to the organization. If you are able to survive these 3 rounds of gruelling discussions then you will have no problem in facing the final stage which is a Personal Interview.
During my summer Internship at Wipro, I had the role of a Data analyst. I was able to sharpen my analytical abilities and improve my technical knowledge in excel. I enhanced skills in communication, managing different situations independently and dealing with onsite people. In addition, I developed smart tactics to get work done from people at a different hierarchy.
For my summer Internship at Wipro, I had to move to Hyderabad. It was an awesome experience as it was completely new to me. Being a south Indian, coming to north India was like going to a whole new planet. The different cultures, the people, the various traditions and festivals were all quite enthralling. The Hyderabadi Biryani was absolutely mouth-watering and is a must try, if you ever go to Hyderabad.
My work involved a lot of talking/socializing with senior leaders which were pretty useful. It allowed me to interact with them and gain useful insights. If given a chance, I would love to work for the organization because there is so much to learn. The work culture is pretty good.
Some of the key takeaways from my summer Internship at Wipro include enhancing my quality of work, improvising analytical parts, dealing with managers and doing better mapping/linking of things.
To sum up, my summer Internship at Wipro was quite a fruitful and wholesome experience.
A really funny incident happened at the airport as I mixed my luggage up with someone else. I had to wander all around Hyderabad to retrieve my luggage. Talk about a good start to your Internship! There was another incident that happened when the water pipe of my bathroom broke. My room flooded. We were left stranded for quite a few hours. What sounds funny now, was a headache back then. Another unfortunate incident that happened was the momos mishap. A word of advice to people, never try momos with curd, I repeat Never. The “Momos Incident” as I like to call it, has certainly made me a wiser man!
