MBA can be a bag full of surprises; it is both a with mind-boggling theories, facts, case studies and on the other hand, it full of strenuous practicals in the form of case solution implementations, participating in case competitions, valuable internships, etc. And there are no end to-do things in these two or one years of MBA curriculum.

Our knowledge and understanding about the MBA, as a course is limited to these few lines, but there are hordes of other things which casts a significant influence on the course. MBA seems to be a very sensitive course, as the effects of rising and fall in market share of companies can have a ripple effect on the future of students. MBA is also a very close-knit course, the entire corpus of business professionals are so well-networked that a person sitting in the US would almost know about the challenges felt by another fellow professional in Brunei. It has become possible has business has become global and the nature of trade itself is instrumental in building a strong macrame of professional relationship and this proves to be the most valuable aspect of pursuing this premier course.

MBA Alumni is a part of the larger business network as described in the preceding paragraph.

  • Seek advice on the application process- Often times the aspirants get feel difficulties in filling up the applications, an alumnus can successfully guide you through the process. The application process for pursuing MBA can be very elaborate with Statement Of Purpose to be written very precisely and meticulously to avoid rejection, in such scenarios a little help from alumni, who already have gone through the process, can make the journey easier.

Many schools organise mentorship programs delivered by the Alumni, and it can be a great way to bond and also understand the complexities of a business life in a closer possible way.


After the MBA: A Network for Life



  • Be a part of Network of networks- Alumni network is one of the best things that an MBA programme offers its students. The alumni network is an incredibly valuable resource. Most of the time they are organized in local levels and regular meetings, professional events and get-togethers are organised and it is even extended to the alumni of other business schools which make it a very well-knitted network and this help each other grow in a very holistic yet professionally active way.

  • Seek advice or forge connections- Whether you are looking for an idea of the market in Italy while being in India, your alumni network might be able to make these connections for you.

  • Gain support- Are a conceptualising a Start-up? Your Alumni network can a great help at hand, they can support you by providing better opportunities, promote your business, maybe investments and also gather new insights, which can prove to be very valuable.

  • Get involved in activities- A currently working professional or a veteran who had been an MBA graduate himself or herself can always engage in committees, international alumni boards, organize events and workshops to let others learn and excel within the business ecosystem through the help of Alumni network.

  • Enhance your career prospects- Though business schools offer support to its students to find stability in their work life, however, mostly, it is the Alumni network which can prove to be very valuable, be it from information on openings of your choice to switching career paths and directing to new opportunities.
