What was my role during my internship at IndiaMART InterMESH Limited?

During my internship at IndiaMART InterMESH Limited, I could lay my hands on the domain of Product Management. Given the extent of my role, I worked closely with business customers to ascertain their behavior, needs and priorities. After gauging their needs, I had to create a Product Vision and feature it on IndiaMART InterMESH Limited portal. They had the portal synced with customer priorities. The cherry on the cake was the regular team meetings that gave me an insight into the various aspects of IT Product Management. Overall, my internship at IndiaMART InterMESH Limited was a journey laden with new experiences and invaluable learnings.

What did I learn during the course of my internship?

During my internship, I was able to learn the underlying tricks of the trade of Product Management from Consumer Research to launch in IT. The value addition came in the form of enhanced people skills whereby I learned the art of analyzing any situation from the consumer perspective. To attend my internship, I had to move to Noida. Adjusting was not an issue as I was already familiar with the surroundings. Although, there was no official team outing as such, working with the co-interns and learning the core ethics of the industry from the seniors was always an enlightening experience.

Given a chance, I would grab the opportunity to work with IndiaMART InterMESH Limited in the blink of an eye. The work culture of IndiaMART InterMESH Limited is something that I had always been on the lookout for. Despite being a 20-year-old company, IndiaMART InterMESH Limited’s work environment is as agile as a startup. This, in turn, ensures that there is full freedom to deploy your creative bent of mind in the sphere of Product Development and work on your holistic development. No other company, at present, caters to my expectations as IndiaMART InterMESH Limited does. This makes it the most preferred organization for me to work at.

What did I learn from my mentor during the course of my internship?

The review sessions with my mentor were lively and interactive. I had an opportunity to gain a lot from him and I can't thank him enough. His constant guidance and support allowed me to work on my Presentation and Communication skills. Now, I can confidently assert that after my internship, I have become a better communicator, ready to enter the corporate world.

To sum up, doing an internship at IndiaMART InterMESH Limited was one hell of an experience that will stay with me forever. I was able to forge connections and friendships for a lifetime. The best aspect was the flexible work culture that contributed towards my professional as well as personal growth.
