I was hired as a Data Analytics Intern during the course of my internship at the Royal Bank of Scotland. The project allocated to me involved a lot of interesting business facts and made use of cutting edge technology like AI (using python), Adobe Analytics and SAS. I had prior work experience in the same field. Therefore, I was able to excel at my work. More than the work, I awaited the challenges that came in my way because they allowed me to analyze the bigger picture and brainstorm interesting solutions.
The main purpose of my decision to pursue an internship at the Royal Bank of Scotland was to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application. Various domains that I could experiment with were Text Mining, Python, Semantic Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Adobe Analytics, Marketing Analytics, SAS, Data Modelling, and Regression Algorithm. Although it may seem a lot, these are just a few of the necessary skills that a Data Analyst should possess. I am grateful that I could acquire all these skills and become corporate ready during my internship.
I moved to the national capital of Delhi to attend my internship at the Royal Bank of Scotland. It was altogether a different and exciting experience that allowed me to gel with a lot of new people. I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 months in Delhi, exploring new places and restaurants on weekends. Although there was no official team outing as such, bonding with the senior management over work-related issues was always an enriching experience.
Given a chance, I would grab the opportunity to work with the Royal Bank of Scotland in a heartbeat. The reason behind it is simply the perfect work-life balance and excellent work culture that is on display.
