How IIM Ahmedabad students helped 2,300 Families in Lockdown

The pandemic forced us to see the other side of the coin. Where we were made to see the ugly picture with numerous people getting affected and hospitalized with the virus, a few bright faces emerged as well. Amongst these lie the caped students of IIM Ahmedabad who left no stone unturned to help families in lockdown.

Time and again, B-School students have stood out from the crowd. Where earlier MBA graduates were known for their skills, the pandemic illuminated the empathetic side of the B-School community. And one such story is that of Amjad Rasheed, Ganesh V and Hitesh Singh, the students of IIM Ahmedabad who went out of their way to ensure rations are delivered to the ones in need during lockdown.

And this was not all. An in-house organization led by both students and faculty members of IIM-A, it went on to help around 2300 families! The journey, undeniably, was not simple. But their determination and diligence made sure that their efforts do not go in vain.

From managing contacts of the ones in need to carrying out the on-ground process, everything was carried out smoothly and efficiently. This video captures the spirit of empathy in the most unique way possible and sends a strong message to the young leaders of tomorrow: “Where there is will, there is a way”.

To know more about the team and how they accomplished an almost impossible task, watch the video above.
