What is the selection process for an internship at Tata CLiQ?
The selection process had the following components:
- Shortlisting on the basis of CV
- Online Test
- Skype Interview
The first step was the shortlisting of CV. This was followed up by an online test that evaluated our quantitative and verbal reasoning. The last stage was a skype interview which lasted for about 25-30 minutes.
What did I learn during my internship?
My Role for the Internship at Tata CLiQ was that of a Data Analyst in the Customer Relationship Management team. I was given a project which required me to promote customer engagement through content-driven marketing for various use cases and customer cohorts. It was here that I learned the fundamentals of consumer behavior and the system transfer plan concepts of marketing.
I had to move to Mumbai for my internship at Tata CLiQ. The organization gave me accommodation for a week to settle down which was very considerate of them. After that, I moved in with my graduate friends residing in Mumbai which made my stay hustle free.
My internship increased my interest in marketing and in the E-commerce industry. The team I worked with was really amazing. All the knowledge that I gained here has made me grow into a better person. It provided work-life balance like no other organization.
One of the interesting things that happened during my Internship at Tata CLiQ was the sudden meeting with the board of directors who asked me to give a brief on the project I was working on. They also asked me about the values that I would be adding to the organization with my project. That meeting will be always be engraved in my mind as it provided me a better understanding of how things take off in the real world.
It was certainly a gripping experience filled with fun!
What are the key takeaways from your internship?
Some suggestions that I received from my mentor were:
- Always break down the task into smaller pieces that can be delivered within the constraints to keep momentum.
- Have a great attitude towards work.
- Always keep your spirits high.
These values that I learned helped me develop into a better leader and person.
