IBM has given the following technical skills/expertise for candidates applying for this position. It is important to meet all the eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the job opening at IBM. 

• Minimum experience - 0-3 years. 
• Understanding of communication protocols like FTP/SFTP/AS2.
• Knowledge of EDI Standards like X12/EDIFACT/TRADACOM.
• Identifying problems and finding solutions to them. 
• Knowledge of IBM Sterling Products (like SCBN, Integrator or ITX /other EDI translators). 
• Handsome experience with troubleshooting SW products. 
• Experience with customer-facing and customer management. 
• Quickly learn about new products on on-prem and cloud/SaaS.

Roles and Responsibilities

• As a technical support engineer, the candidate will have to work in a constantly changing environment where each implementation is unique. Only people with the right attitude and energy should apply for this position.
• Previous knowledge of IBM products is an advantage but not a compulsory requirement. There is provision for training for fresh recruits. 
• Good communication skills with the ability to share ideas and professionally in both verbal and written forms. 
• Setting up test scenarios to duplicate problems. Writing articles on issues that have been reported along with a description of their resolution.
