ICC Men's World Cup 2023: Takeaways

Now that we have provided a brief profile of each cricketer for the possible squad of Team India for the ICC Men`s World Cup 2023, we have a few questions & answers listed below:

What strikes you most going through the brief profile of Team India?

We are sure that what instantly strikes you is the educational qualification of these cricketers. A majority of them never study beyond 12th standard barring a couple of them who got degrees. This just goes on to show that education confined only to the academic arena is not what education is all about. It also means following your passion be it in sports or academics. What is important is you create a legacy worth your time and admiration for others to come after you.

The next relevant question is how did these players become famous professional players despite their average level of educational qualification?

Learning is an endless process until you decide to put a stop to learning so long as you are alive - be it in the classroom, playground, social events, etc. You always learn new things only when you decide to grab opportunities that come your way. These players did just that; they struggled and kept improving themselves till they became the best version of themselves.

Did these players have other dreams other than becoming a cricketer in their early days?

Some of these players had dreams to become engineers, IPS, IAS officers, etc. However, at some point in time, one has to pick a career to pursue ahead. Gradually, as these cricketers continue to improve their skill and recognition they have to at a certain point in time pick either cricket or academics. They eventually chose what best suited them accordingly and today they represent as proud and admired Team India.

This is not the end of our questions and answers; it's an open-ended interaction! We hope it will go a long way to motivate and also learn to appreciate your own passion deep within.

Do your best and become the best version of yourself now or later.
