Beginning this year, the entrance exam for admissions to the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) will be conducted by NTA, the National Testing Agency. A public, autonomous business institute, IIFT was established by the Government of India in 1963. The announcement was made recently in regard to the IIFT entrance exam 2020 for admissions to various MBA courses.
The notification revealed the important dates as well. According to the schedule, the test will be conducted on 1st December and the admit card will be released on 11th November. The registrations for the exam will begin on 9th September and the portal for registrations will close on 25th October. Candidates can register on the official website of NTA, i.e., nta.ac.in.
Until last year, IIFT used to conduct its own entrance exam. No major changes have been declared till date, except that the exam conducted this year will be computer-based (CBT). Apart from this, no changes in the exam pattern have been announced.
With a duration of two hours for the exam, the IIFT entrance test comprises of objective type, multiple-choice questions. It is designed to assess students on grounds of English vocabulary, grammar and comprehension, logical reasoning, current affairs and general knowledge, quantitative analysis and data interpretation.
Additionally, for the candidates willing to sit for the IIFT entrance exam 2020, there is no age limit. However, the candidates must hold a degree in graduation with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. For candidates in the reserved category, the minimum requirement goes down to 45 per cent.
Meanwhile, notifications for various other MBA entrance exams are out too. Where CAT is all set to be held on 24th November, XAT will be conducted on 5th January 2020. For more details regarding the notifications and exam patterns of CAT and XAT 2020, refer to the following links.
