IIM Indore EPGP placement soars high at INR 80 LPA for the 2019-20 batch

IIM Indore concluded its placement report of EPGP (Extensive Post Graduate Program) students of the class of 2019-2020 with the highest salary of INR 80 LPA this season, which is a whopping jump of 153% from last year. The Extensive Post Graduate Program is a special one-year full-time program designed for the executives, who have a minimum of 5 years of work experience. The program is fashioned in such a style that it hones the business capabilities, skills and knowledge of the people and prepares them for transformational leadership roles in the industry. 

The participants of the EPGP cohort of batch 2019-2020 were offered roles in a variety of domains that ranged from S&M (Sales and Marketing), Consulting, Business Advisory, IT Security, Project Management, Quality Control, Banking, and Business Development. This season saw not only a diverse group of recruiters from all sectors but also a special interest from them to hire candidates for novel technologies like Data Analytics, Blockchain, IOT, Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0.

The average placement offer stood at INR 25.10 lakhs per annum, while the median salary hung at INR 18.98 LPA. Companies from various sectors such as IT, Education, Marketing and Finance, Power, Aviation and others also showed an uptick. IIM Indore concluded its placement for the class of 2019-2020 with the maximum salary in the Extensive Post Graduate Program at INR 80 LPA. 

Employment statistics is as follows :

In the domain of Information Technology (Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Security and Business Analysis), Consulting (Hi-Tech, Finance, Discrete) and Core (Product Marketing, Business Development and Sales & Marketing), candidates were hired over 17, 9 and 4 different job profiles respectively.

After the EPGP cohort arrived back to the IIM Indore campus from an insightful international immersion at the SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milan, Italy, the process of placement started which ended in May’20. The candidates were offered a plethora of roles as Territory Business Head, Senior Consultant, Analyst, Consultant, CML Manager, Assistant Consultant, Manager, Associate Project Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Associate Manager, Manager - IT Security, Associate Manager – Cloud, Associate Manager - D&A, Associate Manager – Avanade, Enterprise Software BI Lead and Enterprise Architect.

More than 50 companies floated an opportunity or eventually recruited the candidates of the EPGP of the class of 2019-2020 while there were more than 70 companies who showed their interest.  The EPGP has a total of 43 participants, of which 8 are on sabbatical/company-sponsored, 37 opted for campus placements, 30 of them were offered roles on campus, while there were 7 who were offered off-campus placements/opted out of campus placements. 

This is the 11th EPGP batch (2019-2020) which consisted of 43 professionals who vibrantly represented the varied sectors of the economy – IT, Energy, Power, Oil and Gas, Healthcare, Food & Beverages, Steel, Consultancy, BFSI and many more. The EPGP polishes the professional qualities of the candidates so that they stand out of the crowd and provide them with a platform of motivation where they are ready to learn, unlearn, and relearn.

IIM Indore concluded its placement report of the Extensive Post Graduate Program batch of 2019-2020, where the highest salary offered was a massive INR 80 LPA. The one-year full-time program is meant to whet the skills of the professionals who represent almost the overall different sectors of the economy.
