IIM Nagpur completes summer placement drive with the highest stipend of INR 2.5 lakhs

IIM Nagpur summer placement 2021 recorded a 100% placement of the seventh batch of its Post-graduate MBA programme. The drive which was concluded on 13 February 2021, saw over 100 recruiters from various sectors including FMCG, E-commerce, analytics, consulting, oil and gas, BFSI (Banking and Financial Services and Insurance), pharmaceutical, and many more. The highest stipend recorded was INR 2.5 lakhs.

Highlights of IIM Nagpur summer placement 2021

The participating students in the IIM Nagpur summer placement 2021 were of varying backgrounds like engineering, commerce as well as science with an average work experience of 30 months.

IIM Nagpur summer placements saw in total 212 students participating in the drive. The average stipend was recorded to be INR 60,953 while the highest stipend went up to INR 2.5 lakhs. This also indicated a 12.7% and 108% growth respectively for average stipend as well as the highest stipend compared to the last year. 

Prominent recruiters

Many prominent recruiters participated in the drive including Microsoft, BNY Mellon, Doha bank, Dalmia Bharat, United Breweries, V-Guard, SIDBI, Carbon Black, YourStory, L&T, and Infotech. BFSI & ed-tech were the most sought-after sectors for placements, with more than 50% of the students going for internships in these sectors. Health, E-commerce, media & entertainment recorded over 20% of students’ internships. Marketing and consulting were the most sought-after profiles this year. Apart from these profiles, others including finance, analytics, and operations were also offered. Many first-time recruiters also participated in IIM Nagpur summer placement offering stipends to students in double digits.
