IIT Roorkee Placements: 272 offers made on Day 1 with a highest CTC of 80 LPA

IIT Roorkee placements completely defied the slowdown prevalent in the economy. A total of 272 offers were made on the Day-1 of the virtual placements in the first session. The highest domestic salary package was 80 LPA as compared to 60 LPA in the previous year. 

Pre-placement offers also saw a surge from 139 to 153 last year. IIT Roorkee also received many international offers however, the package has not been revealed yet. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Intel Technology Pvt Ltd, Jaguar and Land Rover, Uber, Vedanta, and Oracle, etc. have participated in the recruitment process of IIT Roorkee Placements till now. 

A total of 1,373 candidates registered for the virtual placement from the IIT this year owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. More responses from the international firms are yet to be expected and the complete details will be revealed at the end of the placement season.
