IIM Kozhikode summer placements 2020 hits the highest stipend of 3.2 lakhs
IIM Kozhikode has completed the summer placement drive 2020 for the post-graduate program (PGP) batch and the first batches of PGP Liberal Studies and Management and PGP Finance. Despite the pandemic, close to 144 recruiters offered internships to 541 students with the average two-month stipend of INR 1.88 Lakhs, the median package of INR 2 Lakhs, and the highest stipend of INR 3.2 Lakhs.
Key highlights of IIM Kozhikode summer placements 2020
- Placement drive for PGP 24th batch observed participation from front end investment banks and E-commerce giants.
- Private equity and venture capitalists also came with the internship offers. Offers in these domains doubled as compared to the previous season.
- Being a silver jubilee year for IIM Kozhikode, there were many alumni events conducted which helped in strengthening industry ties.
Domain-wise top recruiters
- IIM Kozhikode managed to host top companies like Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Asian Paints, BCG, Citibank, Deloitte USI, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Microsoft, PwC and TAS. These recruiters extended a total of 146 offers making it close to 27% of the batch.
- General Management and Leadership Development roles were offered by conglomerates including AbInBev, Capgemini, Coca Cola, Mahindra, RPG Group and TAS, forming 13% of the students.
- Sales and Marketing domain comprised 26% of the IIM Kozhikode summer placements 2020. The campus observed participation from the top brands like Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Colgate Palmolive, HUL, ITC, Reckitt Benckiser, Samsung, Vodafone Idea and many more.
- Consulting which has created a buzz in B-Schools these days had more than 18% of the students with the internship offers. Accenture Strategy, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte India, Deloitte USI, GEP, PwC were among the prominent recruiters.
- Banking and Finance bagged offers from Axis Bank, Citi Bank, Credit Suisse, DE. Shaw, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, and JP Morgan Chase among others.
- IT and Analytics hires were made majorly by American Express, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, MX Player, Walmart Labs, and R&D divisions of companies like Asian Paints and HUL.
- Operations witnessed participation from the likes of Amazon, Asian Paints, Flipkart, Uber, along with the entry of new recruiters such as Bounce.
