ISRO Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have completed their graduation within the prescribed duration of the course as specified by their university.
  • Final-year students (academic year 2024–25) are also eligible to apply, provided that the final degree certificate is available by 31 August 2025 and they have secured a minimum of 65% aggregate marks or CGPA 6.84/10 (average of all declared semesters).

Age Limit

  • Maximum age of 28 years as of 16 June 2025.
  • Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules for Serving Central Government employees, Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD).

ISRO Exam Details & Pattern 2025

The ISRO written test will be held at 11 centers: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Thiruvananthapuram.

ISRO may change or cancel any test center and reassign candidates if needed. Call letters will be sent only to the candidate’s registered email ID.

ISRO Interview Process

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on written test scores in a 1:5 ratio, with at least 10 candidates. Reserved category candidates will be shortlisted separately in the same ratio, independent of unreserved selections. The interview carries 100 marks distributed as:

Salary & Additional Benefits

  • Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ with a starting salary of INR 56,100 per month (Level 10 Pay Matrix).
  • They will also receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance as per government rules.
  • Employees will be covered under the New Pension Scheme.

Additional benefits include Medical care for self and family, Subsidized food, Housing facility (instead of HRA), Travel allowance for leave, Group insurance, and a Loan for house building.

Application Fee & Registration Details

  • A non-refundable application fee of INR 250 is applicable for all posts.
  • All candidates must initially pay INR 750 as a processing fee.
  • Refunds will be made only to those who appear for the written test: INR 750 refund for exempted categories (Women, SC/ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen), INR 500 refund for others (after deducting the INR 250 application fee)
  • A valid email ID is mandatory in the application.
  • Upon successful registration, candidates will receive an online Registration Number, which must be preserved for future reference.
