ISRO Recruitment 2023 (LPSC): Openings For Technical Assistant Offering INR 142k PM
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) recently announced vacancies for Technical Assistants at its Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC). And if you’re a diploma holder in Photography/ Cinematography or Mechanical/Civil/Automobile engineering, then this is a great opportunity to propel your career. Because as per the ISRO Recruitment 2023 (LPSC) notification, these vacancies are offering a salary of up to INR 142k per month.
LPSC is responsible for the design, development and system engineering of high-performance Space Propulsion Systems for ISRO's Launch Vehicles and Satellites. In layman's terms, LPSC is literally the wind beneath ISRO’s (satellites and vehicles) wings! LPSC is headquartered at Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram and has a Spacecraft Propulsion Systems Unit at Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Note: Age relaxation for SC candidates is 05 years and for OBC candidates is 03 years.
ISRO Recruitment 2023 (LPSC): Selection Process
The selection process consists of a written test and a skill test. Please find below the details for the same:
- The 90-minute-long written test will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions of 1 mark each. There is a negative marking of 0.33 mark for each wrong answer.
- Pass criteria: 32/80 for Unreserved candidates and 24/80 for reserved candidates
- On the basis of their performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test in a 1:5 ratio, with a minimum of 10 candidates.
- Pass criteria: 50/100 for Unreserved candidates and 40/100 for reserved candidates.
- The skill test is purely on a ‘go-no-go’ basis i.e. a qualifying test. Simply put, a higher score on the skill test will not impact selection.
- The final selection will be done purely on the basis of the marks scored in the written test by the candidates who qualify the skill test.
Here’s the selection process in brief:
Marks scored in the written test —> Shortlisted for skill test —> Qualify skill test —> Re-evaluation of written test’s score of qualified candidates —> Final selected candidates.
ISRO Recruitment 2023 (LPSC): Salary
Selected candidates will be eligible for Level 7 Pay Matrix i.e. a remuneration between INR 44,900-1,42,400.
ISRO employees can also avail of benefits such as medical facilities for themselves and dependents, leave travel concession, subsidized canteen, national pension system, etc.
ISRO Recruitment 2023 (LPSC): Application Process
- All candidates need to apply online for the desired post, latest by May 30. 2023. Candidates interested in more than one post need to apply separately for each.
- On the recruitment notification, scroll to the desired post and click on ‘Apply Online’. This will redirect you to the application form.
- The application fee is INR 750. Initially, all candidates need to pay the application fee. However, INR 500 will be refunded to general candidates and the complete fee will be refunded to fee-exempted candidates (women/SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/PwBD). The last date for payment of fees is May 31, 2023.
