There’s finally an internship opportunity that offers more than just ‘exposure’! The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) has announced five openings under the Diamond Jubilee Research Internship for individuals interested in pursuing a career in Science & Technology (S&T). The CSIR research internship is open for B.E/ B.Tech/ M.Sc. (IT) degree holders.

Please note: Walk-in interviews will take place in Delhi on May 18, 2023.

CSIR is India’s largest research and development organization and among the world’s largest publicly funded R&D organizations. In the last eight decades, CSIR has made significant contributions to the development of S&T personnel in the country.

The CSIR Diamond Jubilee Research Intern Awards scheme offers young interns an invaluable opportunity to work with accomplished scientists, learning from their experience and knowledge. Consequently, they learn the tools and techniques of research and develop the practical skills necessary to take up a career in S&T.

Research Intern

25 years

Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/ Persons with Benchmark Disabilities/female candidates and 03 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.

Minimum First Class or equivalent GPA in the B.E/ B.Tech/ M.Sc. (IT) broadly in the area of Computer Science/ Information Technology and related fields.

Only candidates whose final results have been declared, as of the date of the walk-in interview shall be eligible.

Capability of required software development skillsets to meet the desired functionality of day-to-day requirements.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the interview.

CSIR Research Internship: Salary

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated, monthly allowance of INR 24,000. No other allowance is admissible.

The maximum tenure being offered is 2 years, subject to evaluation after every six months.

CSIR Research Internship: Application Process

Candidates need to download the application form from CSIR.
Candidates need to carry the physical copy of the completed application form and the self-attested copy of all the certificates/ documents mentioned in the application form for the walk-in interview. The walk-in interview will take place on May 18, 2023.

Important: There’s no application fee.
