BEL Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The vacancies are open only for Indian nationals. Listed below are the age limit, educational qualification, and work experience required for the available posts:

Important note:

There is a relaxation in the upper age limit for OBC candidates by 03 years, SC/ST candidates by 05 years, and PwBD by 10 years.
Academy/Teaching/Research work, experience in non-profit organization, and internship/project work placements which are part of the academic curriculum will not be considered as experience. Work experience prior to completion of B.E/B.Tech/BSc Engineering will not qualify as relevant experience.

BEL Recruitment 2023: Selection Process

Eligible candidates will be called for a written test worth 85 marks. Those who clear the written test will be shortlisted for an interview worth 15 marks. Both the written test and interview will take place in Bengaluru.

For interviews, candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks scored in the written test (out of 85) in order of merit in the ratio of 1:5. Details about the written test and interview will be shared on the e-mail ID provided by the candidates.

BEL Recruitment 2023: Salary

Initially, Project Engineers will be engaged for a period of three years, which may be extended further by one year. Maximum tenure is four years.

Candidates will be paid INR 40,000 per month in the first year, INR 45,000 per month in the second year, and INR 50,000 per month in the third year. In case a contract is extended, remuneration shall be INR 55,000 per month for the fourth year.

Initially, Trainee Engineers will be engaged for a period of two years, which may be extended further by one year. Maximum tenure is three years.

Candidates will be paid INR 30,000 per month in the first year and INR 35,000 per month in the second year. In case a contract is extended, remuneration shall be INR 40,000 per month for the third year.

In addition to the aforementioned remuneration, candidates will receive a consolidated amount of INR 12,000 per year for expenses like medical insurance premiums, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc.

BEL Recruitment 2023: Application Process

Please find below the detailed application process:

Candidates need to select the post they’re applying for at the BEL Recruitment Online Application website.
After selecting the desired post, candidates can register and start filling out the form.
At the time of filling out the form online, candidates should have the following documents ready:

Scanned passport-size photo.
SSLC/SSC/ISC marks card or any other valid document as proof of date of birth.
Final degree/Provisional Degree certificate of relevant qualification.
Proof of norms for CGPA/DGPA/OGPA or letter grade/document for percentage/class issued by university/Institution/College.
Caste/Tribe/Community/Disability/Economic status Certificate in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS respectively. Candidates claiming reservations under any of the above categories are required to submit the certificate in the prescribed format. Candidates belonging to the OBC category should produce the Certificate issued on or after 01.03.2022 and for EWS Certificate issued for the year 2022-23.
Post qualification work experience certificate/s from previous/current employer.
Candidates employed on a permanent/Fixed term basis in Government / Quasi Government and Public Sectors undertaking should compulsorily submit the ‘No Objection Certificate’ along with the application.
In case of candidates employed on a temporary basis in Government / Quasi Government and Public Sectors undertaking should compulsorily submit an Offer of Appointment and the latest payslip.

Important: No changes are permitted once the form has been submitted.

After completing the form, candidates need to pay the application fee. The application fee for the post of Project Engineer is INR 400 plus 18% GST and for Trainee Engineer, it’s INR 150 plus 18% GST. Candidates belonging to SC, ST & PwBD categories are exempted from payment of the application fee.

The application fee can also be paid online through SBI Collect or physically at an SBI branch. In case of physical payment, candidates need to select the SBI branch in the payment option, download pre-printed challan generated through SBI Collect and deposit the application fee (as applicable) plus applicable bank charges in any SBI Branch. The candidate should ensure to obtain the seal and signature of the bank official.
In case a candidate applies for both posts, Trainee Engineer and Project Engineer the application fee should be remitted separately for each post.
