Choices in questions welcomed as a positive change

This year the syllabus for JEE was revised and thus, after such a revision the National Testing Agency (NTA) introduced choices in questions. Students had a choice in half of the total number of questions in the numerically based sections. The choices were put in those questions which were a part of the syllabus that has been removed from CBSE or other state boards’ syllabi.

JEE main exam analysis: Difficulty level

Most students who appeared for the exam reported that the difficulty level of the paper was easy to moderate. Choices in mathematics were welcomed as a positive change, and students considered the section easy. Many students also said that the paper was easier than the previous year papers. Out of the 25 questions in mathematics, most students reported attempting all of them. A lot of them have said that they had definitely done at least 10 of the MCQs right. With the number of candidates decreasing this year for JEE, the expected cutoffs are likely to increase.
