Learn How Shweta Became a Product Management Expert | Internship at Indus Valley Partners
How to get selected for an internship at Indus Valley Partners?
The selection process for an internship at Indus Valley Partners had two steps:
- Group discussion
- Personal Interview
The process wasn’t extensive but wasn’t easy either. They shortlisted only a few candidates for the final round of interview. Fortunately, I was the one to bag the internship. I was responsible as the Product Manager for a FinTech solution. My role demanded me to regularly coordinate with a team of 20 members and maintain the efficiency of the team. My mentor shared his experience of having done the same over the years and talked about his skills which I could imbibe and implement.
What did I learn from my Internship?
A few skills I acquired during my internship were Project management, client on-boarding, and analytics. The work culture, opportunities, and exposure IVP provides to MBA graduates were a few reasons why I chose IVP for the internship.
Having been born and brought up in Mumbai, I was apprehensive about moving to Noida, especially because of the crime news I had heard from this part of the country. But eventually, it turned out to be a great experience.
Fun experiences during Internship at Indus Valley Partners
I remember our first team outing which was right after our induction process. We were joined by our mentors and some members of the senior leadership team. It was a good ice-breaker as it helped in setting a tone with the mentors for the upcoming months. One incident I’ll remember from my internship was when our batch of 6 interns conducted the office-level monthly office forum. We had organized a Game of Thrones-themed quiz along with the regular monthly formalities.
