L'Oréal On Campus - Online and On-Point! kick-started with an inspiring keynote by Jochen Zaumseil who is the Executive VP Asia Pacific; on the ‘Future of Beauty’ and was accompanied by Roshni Wadhwa, Director Human Resources for the Q&A round. Pragya Jain from MICA, Ahmedabad shared with us, “The amount of time allocated to Q&A and the smoothness with which all the aspects of being a summer intern were covered holistically was awe-inspiring.” The next discussion was led by Kavita Angre, Director, Consumer and Marketing Insights & Media, L'Oréal India on ‘Discover L'Oréal’, and gave a fair understanding of what makes L'Oréal the world’s number 1 BeautyTech company.
Next in the pipeline was ‘Career Café’ which helped students to explore the dynamic career paths L'Oréal offers to the young talent. This 75-minute agenda (30 min of talk and 45 min of Q&A) spanned across 8 virtual booths, which catered to Commercial, Marketing, E-commerce, Digital, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Finance domains. Appreciating the astounding concept of Career Café, Shlok Shah from MDI Gurgaon said that being a virtual feature, it was yet so engaging and interactive! There is more to it than that...
The itinerary of L'Oréal On Campus - Online and On-point! took an action-based twist with its series of interactive sessions by the leadership, clubbed with the engaging workshops by L'Oréal Management Trainees. The quick and crisp sessions by Harshada Tulsyan, Senior Scientist on Innovations at L'Oréal; Hema Gulati, Senior Manager, BA on tips on how to crack an interview and giving an interview from a home look workshop, were followed by workshops on how to ace an internship and how to make the best of B-School life by the Management trainees Pranali, Nupur and Sarvagya and Purvashri, Sreenath and Mitali respectively. And definitely, we cannot miss the amazing and much-needed workshop by Sanjana, Arzoo, and Varun on how to prepare for the upcoming summer interviews!
Wonderstruck with the interactive sessions, Shivani Kabra from IIM Calcutta said “I loved the entire platform. Worth mentioning is the fact that the information desk had everything aligned to guide us to the Auditorium and Career Café. I especially loved ModiFace. I enjoyed the platform's link with technology. I could gauge how effective it is in providing real-time touch to make-up.”
In line with Shivani’s statement, Aishwarya Jagtap from SCMHRD Pune said, “This is my very first virtual event! Hence I was very excited about it. I tried many different activities. But the best feature was the UI of the Auditorium. The virtual audience and the excitement from the various speakers were motivating. For a while, especially during the Innovation at L'Oréal session, I felt I was actually sitting in the Auditorium attending the live event. It was truly a great experience. I learned a lot from one of my favourite makeup brands. Thank you, Loreal for providing this wonderful experience!”
Well, having said that, what can be a better testimony to the fact that L'Oréal On Campus - Online and On-Point! not only lived up to the expectations of the students but exceeded them.
