Mahindra War Room Season 12: A business treat for B-Schoolers

Mahindra War Room, a cutting-edge business campaign, is coming back with a bang with its 12th edition this year. To transfigure the business vision and drive the engagement of students from top B-schools, solving challenging caselets and drawing concrete solutions will tickle the gray matter to a great extent. So if you think you can decipher business problems of top leaders, then enroll for Mahindra War Room Season 12. 



What are the various rounds of Mahindra War Room?


In order to participate, all the contestants are required to submit their presentations in MS Powerpoint, Apple Keynote or Adobe Flash formats, including supporting material. In case your presentation incorporates a video and voice notes, make sure you upload them separately. It will give a more sorted arrangement of your presentation to Jury members.  


Also, make sure you submit your presentations within the deadline. 


The competition rounds are divided into the following levels: 



Campus Evaluation Round


The presentations submitted by the teams will be thoroughly studied by the top business leaders from the Mahindra Group. Thereafter they will give the final word for the teams for the Evaluation round.  Irrespective of the number of entries, the jury panel will decide the participants for the next round based on the quality of the presentations. 

Noting the earlier experience, it could be Super 5, Super 6, Super 7 or Super 9. 





  1. Blue Tier Teams:




For campus finals, the shortlisted teams will move to the Blue Tier round. They will be challenged to create a 10-minute presentation, 3 minutes to explain their idea and 7 minutes to showcase the background research. This will also follow a 5-minute Question-Answer session.

The evaluation process will be carried out keeping the following criteria in mind: 




  1.   Issues analyzed strategically 

  2.   Innovative approach

  3.   Execution 

  4.   Analysis of quality 

  5.   Issues covered thoroughly 

  6.   Quality factor 


Based on these parameters, the top 3 teams will head for the next round. Thereafter, the decision will be made according to the ratings given by the Jury and the audience. 



Silver Tier


The top 3 teams selected from every campus will qualify for the Silver Tier round. In addition, based on the audience poll and ratings by Jury, the winning team will be rewarded with the Best Presenter Award. While considering the “Spontaneous Laugh Quotient”, the winning team will also be crowned for The Most Creative Team Name. 

Moreover, experienced business leaders will draw an evaluation on shortlisted and de-shortlisted teams during their visit to the campus, which will, although, be optional.  



VC Round


The respective teams from all the campuses will proceed for the VC Round. Based on the classification of their business case, the teams will face the business’s CEO/CXO. 

Gold Tier


Out of the selected teams, 12 teams will move on to the Gold Tier round for Jury’s Pick round, which is scheduled to be held on 10th November 2019. After that two will make it to the finals. 

While teams with the highest evaluation score will make it to the Grand Finale. On the other hand, the top international teams from each campus will directly head to the Gold Tier for the Jury’s Pick round. Above all, the top international teams will get an entry to the Platinum Tier and will enter the Grand Finale. 



Platinum Tier Round


The Platinum Tier round will have 8 Platinum Tier Teams, 2 Indian Teams from Gold Tier and 1 international team from Gold Tier, which will compete for the Grand title. 

What is the Eligibility for Mahindra War Room? 


As far as the eligibility criteria is concerned, students who are pursuing a two-year flagship PGP/MBA program from the business schools listed below, can participate in the competition.

Mahindra War Room Season 12 will take place on 11th November 2019 in Mumbai.
