Marico Over The Wall Season 6 National Runners Up SPJIMR Mumbai's Vignesh's Story

The case on hair oil for women category was interesting and had a strong Human element. I participated in Marico Over The Wall Season 6 as I saw a huge learning opportunity and I was absolutely right. Apart from that, being the National Runners Up of this competition was an achievement I had worked hard to accomplish. It was satisfying knowing that our team’s hard work had finally paid off.

Our preparation involved intense primary research and who better than the mighty and wonderful women on campus to help us. We spent a major time discussing and validating our insights and marketing idea. Once that was through, it was a smooth sail.

We had been doing quite a few competitions together and hence, had muscle memory of each other's pros and cons. The bright part about conflicts is that they are the points that offered us huge learnings on a personal level. We believed in the processes and tried not to worry about the end result. This attitude, I believe, helped our team go further.

There were six teams in the national corporate round and every team was equally unique in their own way. The organizers were warm and nice, and the experience was very smooth.

We had an examination on the day of our finals and we decided to complete the paper in one-fourth of the stipulated time partly because we knew only so much (Just Kidding!) and also because the competition meant more to us than anything else. This decision was unanimous and made us realize our love for what we were doing.
