MICA Final Placements 2019-2020 witness an astounding increase in FMCG recruitment!
MICA, Ahmedabad, the leading institute for strategic marketing and communications has once again recorded 100 percent placement for the 25th batch of its flagship PGDM Communications program. The institute witnessed an increase of INR 8L in its domestic package making INR 32.8 LPA as the highest domestic CTC. While the average CTC went up from INR 12.8 to INR 13.9 LPA. Here are the major highlights of the MICA Final Placements 2019-2020:
- International highest CTC: INR 58.2 LPA
- Domestic highest CTC: INR 33 LPA
- Average CTC: INR 13.9 LPA
- Median CTC: INR 12 LPA
- Total number of recruiters: 88
- Total number of students appeared and placed: 179
Batch Statistics
A total of 88 companies partnered with MICA and recruited 179 students sitting for the campus placements process. Of the 179 students, 47 percent were girls and 53 percent were boys. In terms of work experience, 58 students were freshers, 40 students had up to 7-12 months of experience, 31 students had close to two years of experience, 16 students had six months of work experience, 10 students had 37-48 months of experience and 21 students had 25-36 months of experience. Moreover, 3 out of every 10 students got a Pre-Placement/Pre-Placement Interview Offer.

Students from different domains were offered roles in the areas of Sales & Marketing and Brand Manager, Digital Marketing Strategist, Product Marketer, Analytics Specialist, Analytical Lead, Media Analyst, Strategic Partnership Manager, Advertising and Brand Specialist, besides Management Trainee.
FMCG
FMCG saw a 67 percent increase in recruitments over last year with top companies like Britannia, Colgate-Palmolive, ITC, HUL, Pidilite, MTR Foods marking their presence, besides past recruiters like Amul, Adani Wilmar, Beiersdorf (Nivea), LÓreal, Puma, etc. Motorcycle leaders like JAWA, Royal Enfield and Hero MotoCorp, also recruited MICAns.
