Digital upskilling: Microsoft launches 'Future Ready Talent' internship program for undergraduates

In a move to promote young talent, Microsoft has launched the 'Future Ready Talent' program, a virtual internship opportunity for undergraduates and fresh graduates. This program aims to enable students to solve business challenges and create innovative solutions using the power of Microsoft Azure & GitHub tools.

This internship program is a collaborative effort by various companies: Microsoft, GitHub, Ernst & Young (EY), Quess and Future Skills Prime. Different services will be handled by different companies as given below:

  1. Microsoft will provide the learning modules and certifications to students. Learning modules will deal with trending concepts such as cloud computing, data, AI, and cybersecurity.
  2. EY will take care of the technological services and provide mentorship to students.
  3. GitHub will provide free access to GitHub Student Developer Pack.
  4. Quess Corp will provide students with an opportunity to showcase their skillset through virtual fairs.
  5. The AICTE will help to ensure that the curriculum is aligned to the National Education Policy(NEP), 2020.
  6. SSC Nasscom will ensure that the relevant courses are aligned with National Occupational Standards and it will link these courses on Future Skills Prime.

  • Internship certificate

Students will earn internship certificates upon successfully completing all milestones. Also, the certificate can be used to redeem internship credits.

Students can learn and practice anytime and anywhere at their own pace.

  • Industry aligned curriculum

The curriculum is so designed that it has Strong Instructional pedagogy. This helps students to learn cloud computing skills relevant to the industry.
