NABARD, the regulator of rural banks in India, has invited applications from students to join the organization as interns. They are particularly looking for talented post-graduate students (first/ second year) to work on short-term tasks/ projects/ studies useful and relevant to NABARD. They should be enrolled in a course in Agriculture or allied disciplines (for instance, Veterinary, Fisheries, Agribusiness, etc.) or Economics, Social Sciences, or Management from an institute of high repute.

Note: Students pursuing/completing 5-year courses in Law are also eligible.

NABARD Internship 2022-23: Detailed Eligibility

  • Students who are enrolled in a post-graduate degree (completed/ in final year) in Agriculture/ Fisheries/ Veterinary/ Agri-business/ Economics/ Social Sciences, Management from reputed universities or institutes.
  • Law students (5-year) who have either completed the course or are in the final year are also eligible for the NABARD internship 2022.
  • Students who will be applying for the internship in a particular state must be pursuing a relevant degree from that state or must be a resident of that state.
  • Candidates from Mumbai will be preferred to join the internship at the head office. However, candidates from all over India are encouraged to apply.

Breakdown Of Allowances For NABARD Internship 2022-23

Fixed Stipend Per Month INR 18,000
Field visit allowance (Including all expenditure)
  • INR 2000 per day (for 8 NER states)
  • INR 1500 per day (for non-NER states)
Travel allowance INR 6000 per head (maximum)
Miscellaneous expenses INR 2000 per head

Selection Process For NABARD Internship 2022-23

  1. The process of shortlisting applicants for the interview of NABARD internship will be on the basis of the weighted score calculated from the candidates' past academic record (marks in 10th, 12th & Graduation).
  2. The final selection of candidates will be made solely on the basis of the interview performance
  3. The process of shortlisting candidates will be done by the Head Office (HO) through interviews with the respective units.
  4. The final selection of candidates and the subsequent allocation of seats will be done at the respective units (RO/TEs).
  5. TA/DA will NOT be provided to the candidates for appearing in the interview.

Broad Themes For NABARD Internship 2022-23

  • As part of the NABARD internship, candidates will have to asses/ gauge various NABARD interventions at the ground level and document success stories of NABARD schemes at the ground level.
  • One of the following topics will be assigned to each intern so that there is a decent number of reports on each of the three topics. Here’s the list of topics for the NABARD internship 2022-23.
