A story about the plight and fight of a boy from Chambal who gets knocked down countless times shows that the battle doesn’t end until YOU say so. Based on the real-life story of UPSC aspirant Manoj Kumar Sharma, it is the perfect mix of drama, hard work, love, friendships, and perseverance. 

Killer Soup

The black comedy and crime thriller featuring the two brilliant powerhouse actors, Konkana Sen Sharma and Manoj Bajpayee, was released on January 11, 2024, on Netflix. The story revolves around a talentless nurse-turned-chef, Swathy Shetty, who aspires to own a restaurant. Her dream seems to be in trouble when her husband is murdered. Indian Police Force

Rohit Shetty is like royalty when it comes to the Indian Cop Universe, owing to his countless action-packed, entertaining movies. This time, the Bollywood creator is set to awe the OTT audience with his first-ever web series, streaming on Amazon Prime Video. With a powerful cast comprising Siddharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, Shilpa Shetty, and others, the show is a must-watch for the Republic Day 2024 long weekend.

Entertainment! Entertainment! And Opportunities! The Indian franchise of the American reality show is back for its third season. Unstop had a successful stint in season 2 of the show and bagged one of the highest offers. And this time, the show is even bigger, with a total of 12 sharks. Three episodes are already live, and Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal’s attention to detail is already creating a buzz. 

Echo 

The supporting character from Marvel’s Daredevil, Echo (Maya Lopez), finally gets her very own show. It captures the ‘Echo’ in the silence of a mute superhero whose journey is filled with tragedy, pain, mystery, revenge, and lots and lots of action. Saltburn (Amazon Prime)

The storyline follows Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan), a scholarship student at the University of Oxford, who concocts a vicious but immaculate plan to acquire the fortunes of an affluent family by befriending their son Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi). After winning accolades at the Golden Globe Awards 2024, the movie is set to enthrall a wider audience on OTT. It is streaming now on Amazon Prime Video. Griselda

The miniseries chronicles the life of the notorious drug trader Griselda Blanco and has started streaming on Netflix today, January 25. The ambitious Columbian drug lord came to be known as the Godmother of Cocaine in the underworld of Miami, Florida, in the 1980s. Sam Bahadur

Based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, India’s first field marshal, this inspiring biographical drama will make the perfect weekend watch. Featuring Vicky Kaushal in the title role, Sam Bahadur is set for its OTT release on Zee5 this Republic Day. Do watch the war drama that chronicles the challenges and the ups and downs faced by one of the most decorated Indian Army officers.

Animal

The movie inspired equal amounts of outrage and daze when it was released in December. With numerous fans celebrating the spirit of Animal across the nation to countless others openly shunning it, if you were left wondering what the fuss is all about, then watch it on Netflix as it starts streaming this long weekend (January 26). The latest drop by Amazon on its miniTV is quickly being termed as an inspirational story filled with drama, hardships, passion, failure, and victory. It follows Sanjay, a middle-class boy who made it big in the startup boom (Mumbai 2010) with sheer determination and unbreakable entrepreneurial spirit. 

Barbie

While Barbie might have been snubbed at the Oscars, we believe this movie deserves all the accolades possible. It broke countless stereotypes and embodied the true spirit of feminism with utter simplicity. If you missed out on the theatrical release of this masterpiece, don’t worry.
