ReLead 2018 by ReNew Power-Inaugural Edition
Renewable energy is the future and is the safest way to preserve our Mother Earth for posterity. ReNew Power is India’s leading brand which uses innovative renewable technologies and also finances projects which cater to green technologies. ReLead 2018 was the inaugural edition of a case study contest organized by the ReNew Power.
ReLead 2018 was open to students across various B-schools in the country which was divided into two groups, i.e., Specified and Unspecified.
The specified group includes-
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow
- Management and Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon
- Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi
Rest of all the other business schools which were not in the specified list constituted the Unspecified list.
ReLead 2018 was a Case Study competition that revolved around business issues which would help ReNew make strategic and financial decisions in their journey towards becoming the most innovative clean energy solution provider.
ReLead 2018 was held in three different rounds-
Registration and Page Submission
ReLead 2018 was open for teams with two to three members who were pursuing 2-year full-time MBA/PGDM from both pre-final and final year. The team members were either from the first or second year.
Post completion of the registrations, teams were given a Case Study and the participants had to research and apply other methods to form a strategy which would be beneficial for ReNew Power in the longer run.
The entries received were subjected to strict evaluation which was executed by the judges appointed by the ReNew Power. Each of the 6 specified campuses had two winning teams, one from the final year and the other from the first year. And two best performing teams were selected from the unspecified campuses.
Campus Round
The National Finale saw 2 winning teams from the 6 specified campuses. They brought their A game and put up a stunning show! Only a total of 7 teams (from IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow, IIM Calcutta, IIM Raipur, IIM Rohtak, and MDI Gurgaon) received the privilege for the final face-off in the National Finale.
National Finale
The Grand Finale held at ReNew Hub in Gurgaon had all teams in attendance. Teams presented their strategy to the judges and the Team SunnySide Up from MDI Gurgaon was declared as the winner.
Prizes
The winning team was awarded a cash prize of INR 1,50,000 and earned Pre Placement Interviews with ReNew Power along with an opportunity to visit one of ReNew’s project sites. The Runner-up teams from both First Year and Second Year received a prize money of INR 50000 respectively.
