A Filmmaker, A Kickboxer And Now, A Part Of MT Operations Team- Sashil's Journey To ITC!

‘Congratulations! You are a part of our MT Operations team’ and this became the milestone for my journey to ITC. It wasn’t just a lucky stroke. It needed HARDWORK and DEDICATION. Let’s rewind a little to see what was the selection process exactly!

The daunting Selection Process had 5 major stages, with each being an elimination round post the Psychometric Test.

  • Initial Shortlist on the basis of your CV

  • Psychometric Test

  • Group Discussion

  • Interview Round 1

  • Interview Round 2

For preparation, I would suggest you to:

  1. Be strong about your CV especially your summer project

  2. Have a good understanding of supply chain fundamentals

  3. Practice group discussion topics

Mentioning every detail of all your accomplishments is important. Every decision you have taken reflects on your thought process. The recruiter wants to see a pattern of growth. And your CV should reflect that.

The GD is case-based. GDs can be tricky to crack. What happens in the GD is improvised. Thinking on your feet will take you a long way. Strong reasoning and clear communication will help you easily crack it. Only one person is selected per GD group. YOU should be that person. Based on my GD, I was sent to the final round of PI directly. The questions revolved mainly around my summer project and CV. So, my advice again would be to focus on your CV and refrain from adding points that you are not confident about.

I did not negotiate for the salary as it was already quite fulfilling. All in all, the interview threw many difficult challenges at me and I tackled them in the best way possible. I am hoping for my journey to ITC be a fruitful and enriching journey with lots of cuts and retakes but ultimately, a blockbuster film nonetheless.
