Shattering records with the highest stipend of 3.2 Lakhs | IIFT Summer Placement Report 2018-20

Witnessing an upward trend in both the highest and lowest stipend offered, the IIFT Summer Placement report saw participation from 90 companies. The recruiters on campus offered summer placement opportunities to a batch of 321 students, the largest batch of IIFT till date. A brief highlights of the report has been recorded below.
Offering opportunities to the entire batch, the campus saw industry stalwarts as well as renowned names like ABInBev and Apollo Tyres on board. Around 32 new recruiters reinforced their faith in the students of IIFT.
The sector wise distribution of the offers made to students by the various companies is given below.
A better picture of the number of students who got placed in each domain is specified below.
Regular recruiters like ITC, ABFRL, Raymond, Shell and Godrej Consumer Products Ltd continued to confide in the talent of IIFT, making 29 offers. Global brands like Pidilite Industries, Nestlé, Apollo Tyres and L’Oréal associated with IIFT for the first time. In the automobile sector, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors and Royal Enfield rolled out 18 offers. In addition, companies such as Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Stryker, Healthcare and Philips, famous in the pharmaceutical sector, made 8 offers in total.
Maintaining a strong hold in the domain of finance this year again, IIFT offered roles of Risk Management, Investment Banking, Retail Banking, FinTech, Trade Finance and Corporate Finance. Where Citibank recruited in large numbers for the role of Consumer Banking for the first time, GE relied in the students again for its FMP Program and Louis Dreyfus recruted students for its trade division. Trusted recruiters like Goldman Sachs, JPMC, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and DBS made 23 offers in all. Companies like FinIQ, Edelweiss AM and Centrum Group added to the new associations formed with the campus.
Recruiters like CBS, Capgemini,TCS and Wipro kept their association intact by rolling out offers in large numbers. Bain Capability Network, made offers for its consulting role, continuing its association with IIFT. For the strategy division, recruiters like GPL hired students whereas Niswey and BCMS build new associations for their respective roles in strategy.
Continuing its alliance with the institute, Tata Group hired students in large numbers again. The list of recruiters witnessed additions from prestigious firms like Genpact, Swiggy and Tata NYK. Hiring for its famous O&T role, Citibank reinforced its association with IIFT. Recruiting for roles in the Operations Vertical, Maersk Line and DCM Shriram also made prestigious offers.
Making offers for the prestigious role of Program Manager, Microsoft relied on the talent of the students of IIFT. In the IT/ ITES sector, companies like Info Edge, Wipro and Capgemini strengthened the overall placements, rolling out 16 offers in total.
While ABInBev and Reliance Industries built fresh associations with IIFT, recruiting students in large numbers for the role of General Management, Mahindra and Mahindra rolled out offers for the Group Management Cadre program. Adding to the list, DBS and Airtel hired for the role of General Management too.
With this, the Summer Placement report of IIFT clearly indicates how well the institute has reinforced its presence amongst the top industries.
