GaDi: Why we are different
10 Teams made it to the finals. According to us, NMIMS Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon and IIM Indore were tough competitors. Their insights reflected their in-depth understanding of the problem statement.
We were a team of two - Garima and Dimple. Joining the initials of our name is how we came up with our unique team name - GaDi. Working together as a team has always been a delight. We brainstormed ideas and questioned the viability of our ideas at each stage. Working in a team, at times, was challenging. But we worked through it all and always managed to come to a common consensus.
Dimple’s creative and designing skills made our presentation look appealing and stand out. Apart from this, both of us had expertise in market research. This helped in the in-depth analysis of the problem statement provided in the case study.
Getting a wider perspective
Post the round 1 submissions, Mentors from Ola had been assigned to us. They helped us get a better understanding of the problem statement. Our Mentor guided us on how should go about the solution and how our solution would affect various stakeholders associated with the challenge.
The problem statement reflected the real-life challenges which Ola was facing and gave us hands-on experience on how through our research and understanding, we can help overcome the challenges. The competition gave us an understanding of how Ola as an organization works. Also, getting an opportunity to interact with the Ola stakeholders was a memorable experience.
Winning the competition was the most unbelievable moment for us since the competition was tough. The best part of the competition was when MICA’s name was announced. We were thrilled to be declared the National Winners of Ola Campus Connect Challenge.
