Symbiosis International University, SIU, which hosts SNAP every year launched the official notification on its website recently. Conducted across the country, SNAP shortlists the best candidates for admission to various elite MBA colleges affiliated with it. This year, the test will be conducted on 15th December for which the registrations will begin on 16th August 2019. After clearing the cut off for the first step, candidates are required to appear for a group exercise along with a personal interview. The candidates are seldom required to sit for an essay writing test, WAT.

Key differences

Where in 2017, SNAP changed its mode of conducting the examination from offline to online, in 2018, it introduced special questions in the exam paper. This year too, it has incorporated a few changes which are listed below.

The number of questions have been reduced to 115 from 130.

The sectional division of questions will be as follows:
- English: 30
- QA and DI: 35
- Reasoning: 30
- Current Affairs: 20

The number of special questions have been reduced to 5, the count of which was 20 last year i.e., 2018.

For normal questions, the candidates will score +1 for each correct answer in Current Affair and Quant sections. Whereas, they’ll score +1.5 for each correct answer in the sections of English and Reasoning.

The number of cities in which SNAP 2019 will be conducted has been reduced to 90 from 92.
