Supply Chain and Operations Dominate NITIE Mumbai Final Placement 2020
The outgoing batch of 414 students with an average experience of 17.67 months seized a diversity of roles in the NITIE Mumbai Final Placement 2020. It saw a remarkable increase in the highest salary offered as compared to the last year. The median compensation also rose to INR 19.81 LPA this year. With 130 PPO’s, the supply chain and operations sector rolled out 221 offers to the students followed by the consulting and IT/analytics.
The top 10 percent of participated students bagged the average salary of INR 36.80 LPA with their stellar performance followed by INR 31.99 LPA by top 20 percent and INR 25.99 LPA by top 50 percent. Here are the major highlights of the final placement 2020:
Sector-wise recap of NITIE Mumbai Final Placement 2020
This season saw a substantial increase in the number of first-time recruiters visiting the campus to hire the best minds. Following the supply and operations sector, consulting and IT/analytics rolled out 127 offers. General management profiles also received a thrust. The finance sector also offered 50 job profiles in the NITIE Mumbai Final Placement 2020.
Consulting, Manufacturing and Retail/E-commerce Sector:
These sectors cumulatively made 51 percent of the offers made. As per the sector-wise split-up, they have 17 percent of the share individually. As far as average CTC is considered, the retail/E-commerce sector was the highest paying with INR 26.1 LPA. The consulting domain compensated the average salary of INR 19.4 LPA followed by the manufacturing sector with INR 17.9 LPA. The big-names who participated in the final placement are tabulated below.
FMCG, BFSI and Pharma/Healthcare Sector:
The FMCG and BFSI sector holds 12 percent of the overall placements individually. However, the pharma/healthcare domain catered to 4 percent of the overall drive. The average salary offered by FMCG, BFSI and pharma/healthcare sectors is INR 26.5 LPA, INR 18.3 LPA and INR 18 LPA respectively. Some of the prominent recruiters of these domains are listed below.
IT/Analytics and Others:
The IT/analytics sector marked an average salary of INR 17.2 LPA and the highest salary of INR 23.1 LPA. Nevertheless, some miscellaneous sectors other than the listed ones paid the whopping amount of INR 58.2 LPA with an average of INR 22.8 LPA. As per the share in sector-wise split up of recruitment performed, IT/analytics contributed 14 percent and others contributed 7 percent in the final placement.
