Everything you need to know about TAS InvicTAS 2019 -By TeamEureka from XLRI Jamshedpur

TAS InvicTAS 2019 gave us an opportunity to test our potential to run a business. We got a chance to step into something that changed the way we saw a business. As far as the strategy is concerned, we gave our best to pull off the simulation game the way it should have been done. We stressed on increasing our profit and share price of the company. Initially, to understand the problem, we spent 6 continuous hours. But after that, each successive round required only 2 hours of analysis. Keeping the deadline in mind, managing everybody in the team was the biggest challenge for us.

As per the rules, only one team per campus reached round two. I considered the campus runner up to be the biggest competitor. They were equally motivated to do the best in the competition.

TAS InvicTAS: Best simulation game I ever played

TAS InvicTAS was very detailed and its interface was smooth and easy to understand. However, we had yet to apply our logical mindset and understand the situation to play the simulation game. It was very thrilling and by far the best simulation game I ever played

Besides all, such simulation games require strong teamwork. Also if you are working in a company, no matter how much you plan, unexpected things will always happen and how you handle those situations with good judgment decide your legacy.

In the first round, we were very conservative. Moreover, the share price of the company increased very slightly, whereas, for others, the increase was substantial. One of the team members lost all hope. Even after discussing with her, she was not ready to participate in the next round but she somehow came back before we headed for round two. This time, all of us decided to play strongly and our share price increased substantially. The look on that team member's face was one of the most precious moments for us.

Our team was supportive of every decision

Our team, Eureka, was supportive of all the decisions. It included people with work ethics so they were able to bring their insight into the competition. Pooja was the timekeeper. Mishita worked on setting goals and I was taking care of calculations and analysis. Pooja always reminded us of the time and gave me a review of the calculations.
