TCS research internships help you shape your future through inventions and find sustainable solutions for society. Their research internships primarily focus on four domains— Purposeful AI, Computing Futures, Digital Sciences, and Sustainable Futures. 

Purposeful AI aims at infusing human creativity and imagination into AI and making it more purposeful. Computing Futures focuses on making high-performance and risk-tolerant computers to cater to high AI and physics-based systems. Digital Sciences explore newer approaches to science by transforming materials, manufacturing, biology, and human behavior. Sustainable Futures invents for people and the planet. 

Eligibility criteria

• Ph.D., MS, MTech, or final year BE/BTech students with knowledge of various areas of computer science.
• Master’s and Ph.D. students from apex universities enrolled in psychology, sociology, economics, mathematics, game design, and organizational behavior.
• Consistent academic background with an interest in R&D.

Role of a research intern

The chosen candidates will conduct research internships in an industrial R&D setting and address industry-scale issues under the guidance of senior researchers.

A TCS research intern should assume the following responsibilities:

R&D-Related Asset Creation

• Creating solutions for research challenges after defining them.
• Creating prototype solutions using data from the industry.
• Submitting research articles to prestigious publications and conferences.

Execution of research

• Conducting a literature review and determining opportunities and difficulties.
• Carrying out proofs of concept.
• Assisting in the creation of items and tools.

Development and learning

• Studying cutting-edge technologies and trends in industrial research.
• Defining the difficulties that face applied research.
• Defining research challenges and methodically developing fixes.

ACE Career Development Program by TCS

TCS is open for applications for the ACE Career Development program as well. 

Over 200 AISEC interns receive career development opportunities yearly via the ACE Program. This internship helps the candidates Accelerate, Connect, and Experience certainty with the company.

Here is the hiring procedure:

• The ACE Program Coordinators will shortlist individuals after receiving the applications and schedule an HR interview. You'll receive an email notification of the same, and you'll need to confirm your availability.
• You will be informed of the results following the HR interview. If you are qualified, the supervisor interview will take place in the following two weeks.
• You will be asked technical questions at the second interview, which will be about the job for which you are seeking.
• The firm will require an EP acceptance statement supplied by you to finish the matching procedures after you hear positively about the final decision from the ACE Program Coordinator.
