The week-long induction program at AFMR Indore filled with debates and dancing -By Nishtha Saretha
The first week on campus is a memorable experience for every student. My first week included attending the wonderful induction program at AFMR Indore, which happened in August 2019. The program was crucial in helping the batch of 2019-21 adjust to their new surroundings, explore all the facilities available on campus, and meet the wonderful faculty. Along with this, several activities and games were organized by our seniors, which helped the new batch integrate, and form new friendships.
Gearing us up for the next two years
The induction program at AFMR Indore was conducted with the intention of preparing the new batch for the next two years of their MBA life. To do so, several tests and games were performed with us to evaluate our existing knowledge, understand our strengths, and work on our weaknesses. The faculty and seniors were extremely helpful in accommodating us and providing us with tips and tricks to work on our weak areas.
This was followed by a series of games, which were based on the different aspects of our MBA curriculum. The first game we played at the induction program at AFMR Indore emphasized the fundamentals of marketing. We were divided into teams and had to perform a minute-long skit to promote a product. There was also the best out of waste competition, where my team secured the first prize. Each of the games we played involved practical application of the knowledge we possessed, making it a successful learning experience.
A fun week filled with unique activities
The induction program at AFMR Indore also encouraged us to interact with our batch mates. After all, we would be spending the next two years of our lives with them, which is why connecting with them was quite important. We were divided into groups for many of the activities conducted during the induction program at AFMR Indore, which gave us the perfect opportunity to interact with one another.
Our seniors allowed us to explore our talents like singing, dancing, theatre, arts and crafts, and several others, which pushed us to become confident and participate in the program. We also recited poems, stories, and engaged in debates, which helped us learn more about each other. The activities were uniquely designed to break the ice amongst the batch of 2019-21.
By the time the induction program at AFMR Indore culminated, I had a new friend circle and a handful of memories to take away! It not only geared me up for the journey I had ahead of me but filled me with excitement and eagerness to start my new life.
